Why it's not a DIY project

The heating cable itself isn't complicated. What takes experience is everything around it — proper substrate prep, protecting the heating element during installation, correct mortar selection, thermostat sensor placement, and making sure the system is tested before the floor goes down. A mistake at any one of these steps and you're tearing up finished tile to fix it.

We've done enough of these to know exactly where things go wrong. We plan for it upfront.

Our process

We start with a site visit to evaluate the subfloor, measure the space, and confirm the electrical situation. From there we spec the correct mat size, confirm thermostat placement, and schedule the install around your timeline. Most heated floor projects are completed in one to two days depending on scope.
